I was able to trade a guitar I no longer play for a Hammond A100 organ. This is pretty much a dream come true for me. If you aren’t familiar, an A100 is more or less a B3 with a few additions. In order to make this a bit more portable, I plan to make a road cabinet for it and transplant everything into the new cabinet, with the exception of the “additions” the A100 provides.

I previously rebuilt a Hammond M-3, which included all of the fun modifications.

  • Recap the Tonewheel Generator & vibrato linebox.
  • Add a foldback on the upper manual.
  • Drop the lower manual by 1 octave.

So onto this new instrument.

Here are a few images of what I’m working with.

Also included were the full set of pedals.
